SHANNON KEEL - VICE PRESIDENT & GENERAL MANAGER
Keel joined Golden Gaming, Inc. in October 2006 and has served as assistant general manager of its three casinos in Black Hawk, Colo.—Golden Mardi Gras, Golden Gates and Golden Gulch. In her new role as vice president and general manager of the Pahrump Nugget, Keel will oversee the daily operations of the hotel and casino, which includes managing a team of more than 300, 70 hotel rooms, more than 500 slot machines, 10 table games, three bars, three food outlets, kids ventures, bingo and a 24-lane bowling center.
Prior to joining Golden Gaming, Inc., Keel worked with the Hyatt Regency Hotel group in Lake Tahoe, Nev. and Chicago. While in Chicago, Keel served in various capacities including assistant front office manager, hotel assistant manager and housekeeping manager for the 2,000 room hotel. Upon moving to the Lake Tahoe location, Keel ran daily operation of casino services, created and implemented a player host program and remolded casino services office to create a higher level of VIP ambiance.
Keel attended California State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing.
JEFFERY RATHJEN - ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
Rathjen will assume all marketing and hotel responsibilities of the Pahrump Nugget. Most recently, Rathjen served as the property’s director of operations and will utilize his expertise to support business generating efforts inside and outside of the Pahrump market.
During his years with Golden Gaming, Inc., owner and operator of the Pahrump Nugget, Rathjen served in various roles from tavern operations to gaming, including regional manager for Golden Tavern Group where he oversaw eight taverns within the PT’s tavern chain. In 2006, he transitioned with the company into his operations role at the Pahrump Nugget.
Rathjen’s work history also includes time with The Mirage, Primm Group and Stations Casinos.
DINA BABB - DIRECTOR OF FOOD & BEVERAGE
As director of food and beverage, Babb will oversee operations of the Pahrump Nugget’s three restaurants, special events and off-site catering and beverage. She will also cultivate guest relations, create outstanding banquet events and maintain the high-standard of customer service, friendliness and quality of food at the property. Babb will oversee the food and beverage team building and development, as well as expand the property’s involvement in community events.
Previously, Babb held the title of corporate training manager for Golden Gaming where she supervised the training and management of each of Golden Tavern Group’s 40 locations and its casino properties in Pahrump, Nev. and Black Hawk, Colo.
Before joining Golden Gaming, Babb was a senior manager at The Cheesecake Factory in Las Vegas where she oversaw management, guest services, team member training and food quality control.
TONY CURTO - DIRECTOR OF PROPERTY TECHNOLOGY
Tony Curto attended Hancock Community College in San Luis Obispo, CA where he received an Associate Degree in Electronics. He then joined Bally's Gaming as a slot technician, where he remained for five years.
Tony joined the Nugget family in 2001 as a slot technician. Two years later, he became the Assistant Director of the slot department.
In February of 2007, Tony was promoted to Director of Property Technology and is responsible not only for the slot department, but the engineering department as well.
